Honda Motor Europe in Aalst is a consultancy and coordination centre for Honda’s European and international activities. One department deals with the homologation of Honda’s products according to European and international technical legislation, the other department is responsible for Government Relations and Technical Regulations. The Regulations department is looking for new team members, fascinated by the world of sustainable mobility and energy, electrification, autonomous driving and connectivity.

The job

  • You are part of a dynamic team responsible for the follow-up and analysis of European and international technical trends and legislation for automobiles, motorcycles and power products, in domains such as environmental protection, product safety, electrification, automated driving
  • As an advocate for the company, you partake in meetings with industrial and institutional stakeholders at European and international level and co-shape the future of our products
  • You collaborate closely with R&D departments in the company and you report to head offices in Europe and Japan

Your profile

  • You are a Bachelor or a Master, preferably with an automotive engineering background or you have a similar degree combined with a passion for technology. Several years of relevant experience is a plus
  • You are an effective communicator and in possession of sound negotiation skills or motivated to grow on that front
  • You excel in critical thinking, analysis and research and possess a natural ability to read and interpret legal documentation and technical laws or legislation
  • You are highly skilled in meticulous and accurate reporting and effective debriefing
  • You are pro-active and enterprising
  • You have good interpersonal skills and you enjoy working in a team
  • You master the English language
  • You are prepared to travel
